October Got CARD Kit Reveal

It's that time of the month again!!!! LOL Lil Scrappers has just revealed the October Card Kit!!!! And TRUST me ..... this one is jam packed and GORGEOUS!!! The kit will be available for pre-order later today in Bev's store!!! The lovely Aimee worked with the card kit along with me this month -- so be sure to check out her blog and gallery for her gorgeous creations!!!

There was one piece of 12x12 cardstock that was just too good to cut up ... so I'm going to use it for a LO -- something totally sweet I think LOL. So that will be coming in the next week or so!!!

I do have a little *TOOT* to share today though. I got the email yesterday, but Kelli over at Pink Sketches --- a VERY totally AWESOME sketch blog has asked me to be a guest Design Team member for a week. I was SO excited to be chosen along with 4 other very talented ladies!! I will be sure to link up my reveal when its time, not for a couple weeks.

Wowza!!! I just noticed late last night ... well in the wee hours of the morning that I hit 10 000 blot hits!!! I'm pretty excited about that hahaha .... who ever would have known I'd have that many hits on my blog!!! I'm in the process of re-designing my blog with a 3 panel template .... and as you may have noticed ... all of my lists are gone and its looking pretty bare!!! LOL. I'm slowly getting everything back to normal though!!! But if anyone knows how I can change my banner and wants to offer help I'd love it LOL ... I can't for the life of my figure it out *blush*

Hello!! Well it has been a while again hahahaha .... I am so incredibly busy - its insane LOL!! Today is the reveal day for the October issue of Sheetload of Cards!!! This was a great issue .... it features my sketch, along with the new Shortcuts project Clear and Frosted card blanks. These are a HOT item!!! Be sure to check out this months issue to see all the work by the Awesome DT!!! Here are my cards ....

I'm still in the process of editing ALL of my New York pictures .... and time has been an issue --- BUT I'll leave you with a fave from my fisheye camera. I just lOVE this thing!!! This picture is from the 69th floor (the roof) on Rockefeller Centre. Simply spectacular!!!

Hello everyone!!! So I have LOTS to share today!!! While I was away on vacation in lovely New York City I had a few DT reveals that I need to share with you - also some Crop stuff to share!! So sit back and prepare yourself for a long photo heavy post!!! LOL.

First up is my Lil Scrappers September Card Kit reveal. The lovely ever so talented Carla was my right hand lady this month and revealed her lovely creations along with me. This kit was loaded!!! Yummy Daisy Bucket pp and stamps and tons of embellishments!!! You can order the kit from Lil Scrappers - but don't wait they are flying outta there!!! This kit was a hit!!!

I soooooo lOVE this kit!!! and I went a little overboard with the *extra* stuff this month!!!

Next I had my card reveal over at Scrap Addicts ... you can see the sketch we used this time and all the other talented DT creations on the blog!! This is my card ...

Then lastly for today I have my Lil Scrappers Crop challenges to share!!! The crop is now over but you can still view all the challenges to try out my joining our message board!!! Vacation Day 1 - and a Challenge

Hello everyone!!! This has been such busy week for me -- I'm sooooo excited to say I'm officially on VACATION until September 21st!!!! I have so much to do with my time off -- but I started off my day today by sleeping in WAY too late LOL.

I have a challenge to show you today. Since its the 5th of the month today I posted my Inspiration Challenge over at Lil Scrappers. Each month I pick something I'm inspired by and create a layout and card with it. You can view the challenge here (you will have to join our message board to view it) and below are my pictures.

Tonight I'm going to my best friend Carla's house!! It's been a while since we've had a girls night so it will be lots of fun!! I can't wait!!

Back to School

I can't believe it's already September!!! This summer has flown by!! I'm sad to see the summer end but I am excited for the fall/winter. I love the change of season and the weather!!! With it being September already -- that means only a few more days until my vacation starts!!! I'm looking forward to my 2 weeks off work!! Its a much needed break!!!

Yesterday was the reveal day for the lovely Lil Scrappers DT Main kit!!! This kit is a gem!! Perfect for the Fall season!!! You can check out the kit here and you can see Carla and Aimee's work here (you have to register for our message board to see this).

The September Sheetload was also released yesterday. This is a great issue which features some adorable High Hopes Stamps!!! You can download the issue here and see all of the wonderful work by all of the artists!!!

Today was my first DT reveal over at Scrap Addicts. Deanne creates some wonderful sketches and we have a very talented group of ladies!!! The Layout team revealed yesterday and Cards today --- so you can check out the cards here.

I just love this Magnolia stamp!!! Sooooo sweet!!!! I love everything about this card really LOL - except that I need to work on my colouring ... its been a while LOL.

I'm just on my way out to meet up with one of my girlfriends for some Starbucks (we are both junkies LOL) then going to watch the first epidsode of The Hills Season 4!! Hey everyone!! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!! Its been a sunny and hot one here in London!! I've done a lot of working and sleeping this weekend LOL since I seem to have mixed up my days and nights again LOL ... staying up till 5am then sleeping into the early afternoon then going to work at 7pm at night LOL. Oh well!!!!

I have some cards to share with you today ... I was hired my by beautiful cousin Nicole to make these for her wedding party. I love the way they turned out and I matched her wedding colours perfectly!! Let me know what you think!!

Hello everyone!!! I am back!!! Now where did I go you ask??? Well I've been swamped with working some crazy shifts the last 2 weeks - but I'm back and getting on a normal *whats normal to me* schedule!! LOL

Wow - it's already August 5th!!! Can you believe it??? I've pretty much worked the entire summer away so far LOL. Since its the 5th of the month ... 1. I don't drink pop .... ever .... I can't stand the stuff and yes that makes me a bit of a freak LOL.

2. I still live at home with my Dad .... the rent is much cheaper here LOL.

3. I hated the colour PINK up until about 5 years ago LOL.

4. I was an Artsy Jock in high school. I did all the Art stuff ... along with playing Field/Ice Hockey, Soccer, Badminton and Volleyball.

5. I was asked to paint a mural on one of the walls at my high school - because I was good at it *blush* ... it was later painted over by someone who was better at it then I was LOL.

6. I have a Fine Arts degree ..... and currently work in a hospital as a PSW - I know .... I'm a little strange .... LOL

I lOVE scrapbooking!!! In case anyone was wondering!! LOL ..... When I first got hooked on scrapbooking - I was really into card making and that was all I did ... then I branched out into making layouts .... I don't make them as often as I'd like ... maybe its a time issue - who knows. Either way I made 2 this weekend during a crazy thunder storm. I really like the way they turned out and love the subject .... SHOES!!!!

This layout was based on one of Aimee's DT Challenges at Lil Scrappers. We had to use Raw Chipboard as our base and it had to be visible. I love this one!!! And its my FAVE pattern paper of all time October Afternoon.

A Very Gloomy Wednesday

Well hello there!!! Happy Wednesday!!! It's another gloomy day here on Southwestern Ontario!!! I must say the humidity lifted last night - when I was leaving Carla's last night ... well really early this morning LOL it was pretty darn cool - I turned my heated seats on LOL!!! I hope everyone is able to enjoy some nice weather and not stuck with the crappy stuff we've been having here!!!

I have to things to show you today!! First is my card based on Kazan's sketch this week over at 2sketches4you. Each week these ladies continue to amaze me there awesome sketches!!! Just Another Manic Monday ....

I've been singing that song all day LOL!!!! Today was a gloomy HOT humid day in Southwestern Ontario!!! Its days like these I'm thankful for Central Air ... sometimes I think I'd die without it!! LOL. I have a card to share today ... I made this card with a kit I received from my Dear Friend Carla!!!! I have no idea what any of the products are in this kit *blush* but it was yummy and super easy to work with!!!

Also ..... my darling friend Carla (man this post is all about her LOL) is in the Papercrafts Gallery Idol Contest ... and their new cards went up today!!! Gorgeous work again this round!!! This one is my fave .... but I'm a little biased ...... *whistle* LOL

A Very Emotional and Sad Goodbye ...

Allow me to be an emotional person for a few moments. Today I celebrated the life of an amazing and wonderful women and friend. This girl was one of the strongest fighters I have ever known. She fought long and hard for 17 years - she was always positive and always smiling. She always thought of others before herself. I unfortunately did not get to see her before her battle ended but I know she was surrounded by people who deeply loved her. Kristen was a leader and a role model to so many people, including myself. I would give everything to be half as strong as Kristen was. I will always love and cherish the time I had with Kristen, and will never forget her beautiful face.

Hello and sorry!! I've been MIA for a little while! Life has been very hectic this last week so I haven't had much time for blogging! So FYI this will be a long post ... but I promise there are some pictures!! LOL.

First off ... today was REVEAL day at Lil Scrappers for the July Mini Kit. This kit is GORGEOUS and Carla and Aimee did a FANTASTIC job with this!!! Well its July 1st and that means its Canada Day north of the boarder!! So happy Canada day to all my Canadian friends!!! I have a few things to share today!!! First of all you still have a chance to win my Shortcuts blog candy but commenting in the post below with my reveal!!!

Ok onto bigger and better things ..... Most of you likely know about the Papercrafts Gallery Idol contest that is running .... well its in its 2nd year now .... and there were tons of *beautiful* cards created and posted in the gallery. Well I would like to toot a little horn of a moment .... of those 800+ wonderful cards that were created ..... they picked only 20 to move onto the next round .... well my dear kind wonderful best friend CARLA is in the top 20!!!!!!! How wonderful is that!!! I'm sooooo excited and proud of her!! Her work is just stunning and so inspiring and just looking at her stuff makes me want to be a better card maker ... well as good as her ... not sure anyone is better ;) Go have a look at Carla's blog and give her a pat on the back!!! You won't regret going!! I swear!!!

Ok today was reveal day at Lil Scrappers!!! This months kit is GORGEOUS Heidi Swapp Carefree paper and its just jam packed!!!! I keep thinking Heidi what took you so long to create paper!!!!! LOL. Today is also reveal day for the July Sheetload of Cards Ezine. This is a wonderful issue!! Another wonderful scrapper friend Heidi is in this issue. She was the lovely guest artist this month too!! Well who said it was wonderful???? LOL .... Photobucket is having some HUGE issues because they were hacked last night .... and luckily I'm the only person in my circle of photobucket users affected ..... but I'm not the only one ;) so no pictures today because I can't get into my photobucket account.

Hello everyone!! I want to start of saying thank you to everyone who has visited my blog in the last week. I have been amazed by all the new hits and all the lovely comments!! Thank you so much to everyone!!! :] I have lots of stuff to show you ... I have Lil Scrappers Crop stuff, and Kit Reveal stuff, and some fun shoes to show you LOL!!

I'll start off with crop stuff ... this weekend Lil Scrappers had its 2nd Online Crop and it was great!! Lots of Fun and inspirational challenges, games and prizes!!! And lots of fun ladies to hang out with!!!

Ok so I had a job interview today ..... (which went very well!!! So I'm just waiting) and since I had the interview ... I *needed* a power shopping spree yesterday before work LOL. I' m newly in lOVE with the Gap and yesterday they just had soooo much nice stuff!!! I spent way too much $$$ but got lots of fun stuff!! So I'm going to share the CUTE shoes I bought LOL .... I have a little bit of a shoe fetish hahaha.

Hello everyone!! It has been such a busy weekend/week!! I didn't realize it had been so long since I updated here LOL. I have a few things to share today. It was the Project Kit Reveal over at Lil Scrappers .... a cute little flip book with some Fancy Pants Papa papers .... this kit is Awesome!!! Aimee & Carla did some AMAZING work with this kit!! This is a card I made with the 2sketches4you sketch by Kazan this week. The sketch is awesome along with Kazan's sample!! I'm really loving this blog and the sketches, they are soooo inspiring!!!

Well hello world!! I'm back from my little holiday. It was a very busy 5 days and a long drive ... but well worth it!! Stacey & Mike's wedding was BEAUTIFUL!!! It was very rainy but the weather cleared up for a couple hours to let us get some beautiful pictures and for the beautiful ceremony. Everyone looked stunning (especially the bride). I will post some pictures soon though!! LOL can you believe I didn't even get one photo with my camera LOL ... I guess that's what happens when your in the wedding party!! As soon as the photographer updates the site with photos I'll share .... and as soon as I get a few emails with other pictures that were taken, I'll share those in a very photo-heavy post!! (everyone loves those kind of posts anyways) LOL.

No not mine .... LOL .... but Stacey & Mike are getting married on Saturday .... so I'm heading off to Ottawa tomorrow!! I'm so excited to see them again, and to be a part of their special day!!! The wedding is at Upper Canada Village ... it's going to be the cutest wedding EVER!!!!

And as promised here are a few things I've recently finished up .... for the bride and groom actually (so Stacey if you see this don't look below LOL).

Also ... last night the wonderfully talented Aimee hosted an AWESOME class on the LS board .... and showed us how to make these CUTE cards!!! I'm hooked on Martha Stewart paper right now .... so naturally I used the bright blue stuff for my Dad's card LOL.

Ok so since I won't back and blogging until mid next week ... make sure you check out Lil Scrappers tomorrow (there might just be something REALLY big and HOT announced) also make sure you check out Lil Scrappers again on Sunday June 1st for the Main Kit reveals by Carla and Aimee!!! Hello world!!! Its been a while!!! LOL ... I've been WAY busy working my little butt off the last little while .... well wait, who I'm I kidding .... work is ALL I ever seem to do LOL ;) Anyways .... I revealed the Lil Scrappers May Card Kit yesterday. This kit was sooooo bright and fun to use!!!! Pefect for Grad/Father's Day stuff ... or just stuff with lots of Stars!! (my new fave thing).

Hello :] .... I have a few things to share today. First of all Lil' Scrappers has teamed up with one of our FANTASTIC members to donate Kards for Kids. Bela is such a kind soul with the biggest heart of gold!!! Bela is collecting cards to donate to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. There is even a prize up for grabs!!! You can find out all the details of this contest and great cause here.

Hello everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful NSD weekend and got to create lots!! The celebrations at Lil' Scrappers were VERY successful!!! We had a great turn out, lots of FUN challenges and an over all great time!!! Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us!!! I am so happy Spring is finally here!!! This winter was particularly long and cold!! The sun is shining and the flowers are starting to bloom!! I have a few things to share today. First of all a shout out to my dear friend Corinne aka Roxy!!! She hosted an AWESOME stamp a stack on Saturday where we made 16 cards and got a cute stamp set!! Holy Cow we got one mother of a snow storm this weekend!!!! It didn't stop snowing for almost 3 days straight!!!! Too bad I didn't snap any pictures ...... I'll give you a mental visual ... I look out my front door, and all I see is WHITE .... everywhere!!!!! LOL.

I have a layout to share with you. I finished this a few days ago but hadn't had the chance to snap a picture. I love this one because the photo I used is an 8x10 picture I developed myself in photography class in college! I stumbled upon it in my basement when I was doing laundry one day LOL. So I actually have some eye candy and lots of stuff to share today!!! (Imagine that LOL). So as many of you already know - I had my first card published in the Scrapbook Trends Wedding Idea book!!! Its a super awesome book and pg 29 is ALL mine!! If you haven't seen it be sure to check it out!!!

I've been pretty creative lately LOL ... fancy that - I get a bit of me time and I just cant stop!!! I made this LO based on Carla's sketch on Lil' Scrappers. Hey!! I bet you thought I had left you all hahahaha ..... I haven't - just been super busy with work and life lately!! SO I'll do a bigger post to play catch-up!!! Not sure how many football fans there are out there ... but I am .... and this is the reason why I watch .....

Yes I am a Tom Brady fan!!! Can you blame me .... look at how nice he is on the eyes!!! LOL. Unfortunatly NE Pats didn't win .... they finished the season with an 18-1 record (don't get me wrong the NY Giants played awesome and Eli was GREAT!!!) But I think NE will come back and take it all next year!!! My fingers are crossed!!!!! :]

So you will notice some things changing a bit on my blog .... nothing too scary just changing some links and that around because I've moved ...... not houses but sites to hang out. Hello everyone!!! I think I've just about finished with making changes to the look of my blog LOL. I like the way it looks for now, so I'll leave it be for a bit (until I change my mind again of course!!!). I've finally uploaded a new sketch - you can see it on the right hand side of my blog. So my dear friend Carla thought it would be fun to take my picture the other night. However I wasn't prepared to model that night LOL and this is what the photo turned out like. It's a funny one and I'm getting *made fun of* on Scrapshotz (all in good fun of course!). So laugh away everyone!!! But notice my new picture on the right hand side of my blog ... I can be photogenic when I try!! I should have some new scrap stuff to share tomorrow or the next day .... I'm making progress on finding my scrap space again!!! :]

I was feeling very Domestic today ..... I have been avoiding laundry and cleaning and such for a few days now. I had been house-sitting for 4 weeks for basically all of December and believe it or not even though I was not home, things were quite the disaster. So me being all Martha Stewart like today ... I did laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and cooked and baked!!! I made chocolate chip banana cake, carrot muffins (both are low fat too!!!) and made a delish dinner of Swedish meatballs, with mini red potato's, green beans and a Swedish cream sauce. It was a wonderful afternoon I must say!!!! ..... now to clean the scrap area so I can create something to share here - and complete my growing *to do* list!!! Thanks for stopping by :]

It's hard to believe the year is coming to an end already!! Where has the time gone?? As most people do ... OMG I love the new October Afternoon products!!!! The pattern paper is the most *gorgeous* stuff I have seen!!!! LOL. And the rub-ons are sooooo cute too!!! I made this day planner for someone special this Christmas. I bought the planner at Walmart and altered the cover (just to clear up any confusion). I love love love it!!! (Almost didn't want to give it away hahaha) But I know she will appreciate it!!! Let me know what you think!! Cheers!!

I'm so excited it's Friday!! It means we are that much closer to Christmas!!! I finally got a card done today and used my sketch that has been up forever *blush* I had to make a special Birthday card for someone who's Birthday is on Christmas day. I love the way it turned out and I love the products I used - it's all October Afternoon!! This stuff is *GORGEOUS* Let me know what you think!

The best part about Christmas is wrapping presents!!! I always take my time and go all out to make them beautiful!!! Yes I know even though they will just be ripped open LOL. Baby it's Cold Outside!!

You got that right!!! Southwestern Ontario got hit *hard* by a massive snow storm yesterday. There was so much snow I was snowed in!! The streets didn't get plowed until the middle of the night and the white stuff is still coming down!!! The storm watch has lifted and just snow squalls now .... but that means 10-15 cm more and blowing snow. YUCK!!! So I wish I had my camera with me .... I'll take a picture of the snow (for your view pleasure Kim if you check in from Jamaica!!!!! hahaha). After the plow went around the snow was almost up to my butt at the end of the drive way .... I just shovelled a little path to get my car out LOL its looks really funny!! I'll take some pics and post tomorrow!

December is a Crazy Month!!!!

Wow ... there are not enough hours in a day!!! I have been working insane hours, and between that and trying to keep up on sleep so I can function, I haven't been doing too much scrapping. I have a few last minute gifts I've been working on, so I will snap some pictures of those soon to share. Also I'm going to leave my current sketch up for another week. I'm sure everyone elses lives are as busy as mine and this will give you some extra time to work on it!! Oh and last but not least ..... Daisy D's has finally posted their 2008 Design Team on the website here. I was picked as a finalist but didn't make the cut. I'm happy to say though, the very talented Vicki Boutin is one of the lucky ladies!!!! Check out her blog here ... shes one very talented Canadian lady!!! Scallop Mainia

So as part of my Guest Design Team duties at Scrapshotz, I had to come up with a challenge for the members. I had a lot of fun with this layout. I challenged them to use scallops on their layout. Either pre-cut scalloped pattern paper or cardstock, or to use punches to create their scallops .... I wanted to see lots of them!!! I also threw in a twist, I wanted to see them scrap about something they don't usually scrap or something they have never scrapped about. For me I scrapped a picture of my friends dog that I took last week. I totally fell in love with this photo, and the pattern paper I had picked out was perfect!!! I hope you like it!! Early Wednesday Sketch

Hey everyone!!! How are you adjusting to all the snow??? London has been hit with a *ton* of snow over the last few days .... about 60cm and it still hasn't stopped!!! I can usually handle the cold and snow since I snowboard, but this has been too much too soon LOL!!!! At least we will hopefully have a white Christmas!!! I am going to post my Wednesday sketch a little bit early since I won't be able to get on a computer until later on tomorrow night. I hope you are able to maybe finish up some last minute Christmas cards with my sketch. Remember to link me in the comments section if you do!!

I've been very productive this week, all my Christmas cards are made, written out and in envelopes ... and most of them have stamps on them too!!! I have to make a stop at the post office for some more stamps and to mail them all!! I was no where near this close to being done cards and shopping and stuff this time last year!! LOL. These are the cards I'm sending out this year ... I made 10 of each, I just love this design. These cards were inspired by a card I made at Corinne's Christmas Stamp a stack. All products are Stampin Up.

This is a special Christmas ATC I made for Sheri the *Hostess with the Mostess* ... I was way to swamped to play along this time, but had a few minutes tonight to make one for her. Pattern Paper is Basic Grey Fruit Cake .... the image I'm not sure, Carla gave it to me LOL.

These gift holders are the most adorable things in the world!!! These can be found on Corinne's blog also. I changed mine up a bit and used the SU slit punch to hold them closed instead of ribbon.

This card is for Carla's *Sketch Book Monday* I changed it up a little bit once I got putting it together .... but it still follows the sketch ;) Pattern Paper is Basic Grey Fruitcake.
